New to birding or a full-fledged “birder”? All experience levels are welcome to join us for our Winter bird walk along the Chicago River with the President of the Chicago Ornithological Society, and UChicago Alum, Edward Warden!
Chicago’s many waterways are some of the best places to observe over wintering waterfowl, raptors, and other avian life. Join us as we conduct a blitz of some of the best spots on the Chicago River to observe this annual winter birding phenomenon. Beginning birders are welcome and extra binoculars will be available.
Trip will primarily be conducted via car caravan with very little walking. Please dress aggressively for the weather with multiple layers. Please contact tconway@uchicago.edu with any questions.
