FOR STUDENTS

VOLUNTEER IN THE COMMUNITY

The Office of the Provost is actively working with campus and community partners to identify environmental engagement opportunities for students. More information will be posted here when available. If your group offers an environmental engagement opportunity that you would like to feature here, let us know.

The Office of Sustainability also maintains a list of organizations that may be of interest.

University Community Service Center (UCSC)

UCSC offers different civic engagement options tailored to student interests: volunteer referrals, student-run groups, campus-wide days of service, a freshmen pre-orientation service week, community-building and social justice programs, tie-ins with course work, and community-based research opportunities and internships at local organizations. These organizations include community nonprofits, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies. Fill out UCSC’s form to let them know your civic engagement interests.

Student Civic Engagement Pathfinder

The Student Civic Engagement Pathfinder is a portal for Office of Civic Engagement job and volunteer opportunities on and off campus. This includes the Civic Knowledge Project, Collegiate Scholars Program, Community Programs Accelerator, Office of Special Programs-College Prep, and University Community Service Center.
