Balancing Climate Change and Growth in the Developing World

M Ariquzzaman Tiash has completed his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh’s leading engineering university, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, commonly known as BUET. After serving several years in the industry as an Engineer, in 2019, he joined the Foreign Office of Bangladesh as an Assistant Secretary. In the Foreign Ministry, he looked after the Multilateral Desk, where he was responsible for looking after the issues like Environment and Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Energy, Power, Migration, and Labour Rights.

Currently, Tiash is pursuing his Master’s in Public Policy at the Harris School of Public Policy, the University of Chicago, with the support of the Bangladesh Government’s prestigious Prime Minister’s Fellowship.
