The Phoenix Sustainability Initiative, PSI, is hosting a Sustainability Case Competition during the month of April, in partnership with Orsted, a Danish multinational power company based in Denmark and the largest energy company in Denmark. The case competition will provide the opportunity for students to gain real-world experience tackling complex business problems surrounding the issue of climate change and sustainability, along with giving students the opportunity to work with like-minded students, receive mentoring from graduate students in similar sectors, and acquire insightful feedback from present-day professionals in related sectors.

PSI knows that sustainability and climate change are global problems that transcend industry, and therefore PSI wants to attract people in every major and background! The prompt focuses on the intersection of data science, sustainability, and business. Case teams (up to 5 students) may choose their competitive division, either quantitative (raw data analysis) or qualitative (strategy analysis) for a chance to win up to $3,000. To register for the case competition, please fill out this form. The registration deadline for this competition is April 8, 2022 at 11:59pm CDT.

PSI will be hosting an information session about the Case Competition on April 4th, 2022, from 6:30-7:30pm in Saieh Hall Rm 021. If interested, please sign up for the info session, here. The informational session will provide more information about the case competition timeline, registration, and a soft prompt release. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email, phoenix.initiative.uchicago@gmail.com
