Join Chicago Studies for a winter hike to the Indiana Dunes!

Join Chicago Studies for a ranger led Urban Hike of the Indiana Dunes National Park! Winter in Chicago is not just for staying indoors, layer up and explore Duneland in winter. With 15 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and a diverse ecosystem, Indiana Dunes National Park is an unparalleled destination for outdoor adventurers.

In winter, frigid temperatures bring dramatic changes to Indiana Dunes National Park. Take advantage of winter’s stillness and enjoy frozen scenes around Lake Michigan’s southern shore. Winter also provides great opportunity to see how wildlife adapts to colder temperatures, including several species of birds. Chicago Studies will provide transportation to the Indiana Dunes National Park from campus at 1155 E. 60th Street at 7:45am.
