The Environmental Justice and Systemic Racism Speaker Series illustrates how addressing systemic racism is highly relevant to the mission of environmental agencies. The series, led by the Office of Environmental Justice at the Environmental Protection Agency, launched in December 2020 with five sessions on the relationship between redlining and current environmental disparities.
The next seminar, “Redlining and the Climate Crisis” will feature Dr. Jeremy Hoffman (Science Museum of Virginia) and Dr. Vivek Shandas (Portland State University).
